Woman Arrested For Biting Customer’s Testicles Over 20 Pesewas Debt

What started as a minor disagreement over a 20 pesewas debt has escalated into a bizarre and violent incident in Assin Wurakese Camp in the Central Region. A 43-year-old woman, Esi Affumwaa, is now in police custody after allegedly biting a male customer’s testicles during a heated altercation at her drinking spot.

According to police reports, Osman, a 36-year-old farmer, visited Affumwaa’s drinking spot to buy a cigarette for GH₵1.20. However, he only had GH₵1 at the time and promised to settle the remaining 20 pesewas later.

When Osman returned the following day, he bought another cigarette and paid GH₵5, expecting Affumwaa to deduct his previous debt from the payment. However, Affumwaa confronted him, insisting that the outstanding 20 pesewas must be paid separately before any new purchases could be made.

What started as a verbal argument quickly escalated into a physical fight. Osman claims Affumwaa struck him on the head with a stick, knocking him to the ground. Matters worsened when Affumwaa, allegedly with the help of her children, attacked Osman and bit him on the testicles, leaving him bleeding profusely.

Osman’s screams for help drew the attention of bystanders, who rushed him to the hospital for urgent treatment. After receiving medical care, Osman was discharged, but the shock of the incident continues to ripple through the community.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jacob Kumedzro, the Assin Fosu District Police Commander, has confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are ongoing.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions, with some residents shocked at how quickly a minor debt dispute spiraled into violence, while others question whether more could have been done to calm the situation before it turned physical.

As the investigation unfolds, this bizarre tale serves as a reminder that even the smallest misunderstandings can lead to life-changing consequences. Whether driven by frustration, temper, or pride, both Osman and Affumwaa now find themselves at the center of a story that has left the entire community talking.
