Alhassan Suhuyini, Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways-designate
Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways-designate, has appeared before the Appointments Committee for vetting following his appointment by President John Dramani Mahama.
Suhuyini, the Member of Parliament of Tamale North boasts of an experienced background spanning across various sectors. He was appointed in 2013 by President John Dramani Mahama as a board member of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
He became the Communications Manager for the National Hajj Council in 2014. He won the Tamale North seat by the ticket of the National Democratic Congress in the 2016 General election to become a member of parliament.
He won the seat by getting 21,280 votes representing 67.79% of the total number. Suhuyini was re-elected in the 2020 general elections to represent the Tamale North Constituency in Parliament.
In May 2023, Suhuyini was confirmed as the parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress, after no one filed to contest him for the position at close of nomination.
