Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor has been appointed as the Acting Director-General of the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

Dr. Mark Oliver Kevor is an IT expert and a Lecturer.

He served on the Board of the National Communication Authority (NCA) under the previous NDC government.

In an appreciation statement, Drark Oliver Kevor expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and outlined his vision for Ghana’s digital future.

“I am deeply honoured by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s trust and confidence in me. This appointment is both a privilege and a call to serve, and I am fully committed to advancing Ghana’s digital transformation agenda,” Dr. Kevor stated.

He emphasized NITA’s critical role as the implementing agency for government ICT and digitalization policies, adding, “As the implementing agency for government ICT and digitalization policy, NITA plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our nation’s technological landscape.”

Dr.Kevor pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to enhance digital infrastructure, improve public service delivery through technology, and create opportunities for innovation and economic growth. “Together, we will drive a digital revolution that benefits all Ghanaians,” he affirmed.

The appointment comes at a pivotal time as Ghana intensifies efforts to leverage technology for national development.

Dr. Kevor’s leadership is expected to further strengthen NITA’s mandate and accelerate the country’s digital transformation.
