Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong
Former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has expressed concern over the increasing number of educated Ghanaians taking up security jobs overseas.
According to him, Ghana has numerous opportunities, particularly in land development, and he wonders why these resources are not being utilized to create job opportunities.
Speaking during a tour of Sege in Ada to explore business opportunities in a video shared on YouTube, the outspoken politician urged the community to unite and support him in bringing development to the area.
“We only need to change our mindset. When you go to Dubai, you see educated Ghanaians working as security guards. Such a beautiful place, with shopping malls everywhere, and an educated Ghanaian boy, is working as a security guard.
“How? With all the resources we have here, why can’t we develop them?” he questioned.
He also highlighted his latest project, the Volta Factory Project, which is set to begin in the Volta Region, stating that he is offering the people of the region 10% of the proceeds.
