GFA urged to sack referees manager Alex Kortey

Former chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo, has called for the dismissal of Alex Kortey, the referee manager at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), following recent controversy surrounding bribery allegations.

Kortey recently accused former GFA Vice President George Afriyie of attempting to bribe him during a match between All Black Stars and Asante Kotoko.

Speaking in an interview with Top FM, Kortey claimed that Afriyie, along with a mutual friend, visited his home and offered him money.

Kortey alleged.

However, he later retracted his statement and issued an apology after Afriyie threatened legal action.

Reacting to the situation, Fianoo has urged the GFA to take decisive action by dismissing Kortey, arguing that his conflicting statements harm the credibility of the association.
