Dr Kwaku Oteng, head of the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), has donated approximately Ghc 750,000 to his employee, Kofi Adoma Nwawani, in order to aid with treatment of his eye issues.
This was revealed by officials of the company during an interview with journalist, Saddick Adams ‘Obama’, on the network’s morning show.
According to ABN, following Kofi Adoma’s injury, Dr Oteng sent him Ghc 110,000 which was to aid with his travel, accomodation and other expenses.
Dr Oteng then later donated $40,000, which is approximately Ghc 650,000, to aid with payment of his medical expenses.
All these massive donations are separate from what Adoma reportedly received from Ibrahim Mahama, the President’s brother. On top of that, the family has also started a GoFundMe to raise €50,000.
Reacting to news of Kwaku Oteng’s donation, social media users were stunned that after receiving all that money, which almost amounts to 1billion old Ghana cedis, Kofi Adoma is still raising money.
“But are theu using his eyes to solicit fund or. What kind of injury take all these money. ? Me i don’t understand,” one netizen wrote.
