The new Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC, Farihan Alhassan has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the development of the Ga State following a courtesy visit by the Bank’s leadership to His Royal Majesty (HRM) King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.
The visit aimed to formally introduce the Bank’s newly appointed Managing Director, Farihan Alhassan, and to strengthen the longstanding relationship between GCB and the Ga Traditional Authority.
The meeting marked a pivotal moment in the Bank’s ongoing commitment to community development as it transitions into a new era of leadership.
During the visit, Farihan Alhassan commended the Ga Mantse for his tireless efforts in promoting community welfare through the Ga Mantse Foundation. The foundation spearheads various initiatives, including the Ga Girl Child Education Project, the Ga-Dangme Educational Fund, the Ga Mantse ICT Entrepreneurial and Skill Development Fund, and the Ga Mantse Health, Environmental, and Sanitation Fund.
In his remarks, Farihan Alhassan expressed profound gratitude for the Ga Mantse’s role in fostering peace and security in the Ga State.
“Our visit today serves two key purposes. First, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Overlord for granting us the land on which we operate and for ensuring a safe and stable environment for business. Second, I recognize the significance of formally introducing myself to the custodians of the land and seeking their blessings as I embark on this assignment,” Alhassan said.
He further emphasized GCB’s commitment to being a catalyst for socio-economic growth.
“GCB Bank is well-positioned to drive development in the Ga State. We are committed to supporting initiatives that align with the needs of the community and contribute to sustainable growth,” he added.
In response, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II welcomed the new MD and prayed for his success in his new role. He acknowledged the longstanding relationship between GCB and the Ga State and expressed optimism about the continued collaboration.
