Showbiz investor Abdulai Abu Baba Sadiq has joined the list of Ghanaians who have expressed their views after former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta was declared a fugitive by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

In a post shared on X on February 12, 2025, Baba Sadiq stated that Ken Ofori-Atta has no intentions of returning to the country.

He claimed that Ofori-Atta might even be granted diplomatic status in Guyana.

“If he is in Guyana, he didn’t intend to come back. That’s where the largesse is kept. In just a matter of months, Guyana may just announce his diplomatic status. Proper Diezani style,” Baba Sadiq wrote.

On Wednesday February 12, 2025, the OSP had declared Ken Ofori-Atta a suspect in multiple corruption investigations, including cases related to the National Cathedral project, Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML), and other undisclosed matters.

During a press briefing, the Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng emphasised that Ofori-Atta must return to Ghana immediately to face questioning.
