Education minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has expressed his gratitude to the Dagbon Kingdom for their support during his vetting process in Parliament.

He paid a courtesy visit to the Overlord of the Dagbon Traditional Kingdom, His Royal Highness Yaa-Naa Abukari II, to thank him.

During his visit, Iddrisu also extended his appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the opportunity to serve in his government.

He expressed optimism that the educational sector would undergo significant improvements, reforms, and transformations during his tenure.

Interestingly, the Dagbon Kingdom has a rich history of promoting education and learning. The kingdom was founded by Naa Gbewaa in the 15th century and has since been a hub for education and cultural exchange.

Iddrisu’s visit to the Dagbon Kingdom highlights the importance of collaboration between traditional leaders and government officials in promoting education and development.

Iddrisu aims to leverage its expertise and influence to drive positive change in the education sector.
