Dr. Zanetor Agyeman Rawlinga
Benjamin Neequaye Kotey, the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Klottey Korle Constituency, says the description of their Member of Parliament as ‘daughter of a murderer’ was a terrible comment that must be condemned.
He posited that the one who made the remarks must be fished out and punished for the unparliamentary language.
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he said the person who made the remarks does not deserve to serve as MP.
Mr. Kotey expressed disappointment in the remarks and has therefore called on Speaker Alban Bagbin to have the matter investigated.
“If the person was that courageous and regarded himself a man, he should have made those remarks when Jerry John Rawlings was alive.”
He confirmed that they have petitioned parliament to probe the matter and have the person punished.
“This was a man who contributed to Ghana’s democracy, and so if you think he was a murderer, why did you not confront him when he was alive? We want the Speaker to fish out that person so that he will render an apology to the MP, the constituency, and the people of Ghana.”
