Media personality Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, has stated that it would be difficult for President John Dramani Mahama to reconcile with former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho.

According to Captain Smart, the longstanding friction between the two dates back to the administration of former President John Evans Atta Mills.

He alleged that Koku Anyidoho made then-Vice President John Dramani Mahama uncomfortable at the presidency, creating significant tension between them.

Captain Smart further claimed that due to their strained relationship, Mahama wrote a resignation letter intending to step down from his role in government.

However, the intervention of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Mahama’s late mother, and other top leaders prevented him from resigning.

Speaking on his Onua Maakye morning show in a viral video shared on social media, Captain Smart also alleged that Koku Anyidoho once locked Mahama’s office.

“Koku Anyidoho and Mahama will never make peace until one of them is dead. Koku mistreated Mahama to the extent that he wanted to resign,” he stated.

“He was the Director of Operations at Jubilee House and constantly disturbed Mahama at the then Flagstaff House. He made life unbearable for him, forcing Mahama to write a resignation letter.

“It took the intervention of Otumfuo, Kufuor, Mahama’s late mother, and several top leaders to resolve the matter. Koku Anyidoho was even insulting Mahama at the time, questioning whether his office had ever been locked when he was Vice President.”

Meanwhile, Koku Anyidoho on several platforms has denied maltreating John Mahama during the presidency of the late Professor Evans Atta Mills.

He has also dispelled rumuors of a long-standing loggerhead between the two.
