Ghanaian actor, Seth Kwame Dzokoto, has criticised the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, following a recent video where the MP urged NPP party loyalists to defend their fellow party members in any confrontation with NDC members.
In a Facebook post shared on February 7, 2025, Kwame Dzokoto stated that the MP’s comments were inappropriate, considering his influential position in Parliament.
He described Annoh-Dompreh’s actions as “silly” and “unwise.”
“Annoh-Dompreh is not wise as an MP. We are waiting for the ‘don’t be silly’ report from the laboratory to confirm that one,” he commented.
What Frank Annoh-Dompreh said
On Thursday, February 6, 2025, Annoh-Dompreh warned that the NDC would face unrest in Parliament if they prevent the Electoral Commission (EC) from re-collating the results of the December 2024 Ablekuma North parliamentary election.
He stressed that failure to allow the re-collation process would lead to continued protests, urging NPP supporters to intervene if they find any altercation between party members and the NDC.
“If you are a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and you come across a fellow party member fighting with a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), step in and help your fellow party member,” he said.
He also added, “If they (NDC) are not reasonable enough to accept that, based on the collated results, we have won the Ablekuma North parliamentary election, the NDC MPs will not know peace in Parliament. We will continue to demonstrate. So, if they do not allow the EC to re-collate, they will not know peace. We are giving the EC one week to declare the results. Why did the NDC burn the pink sheets? Ablekuma North is for the NPP. We are winning,” he declared.
