The Sung Biela Foundation (SBF) has extended its annual mentorship, career guidance, and donation initiative to students in the Upper East Region.
Purpose of the Programme
The programme aims to uplift underprivileged students by providing learning materials and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve self-reliance. It also inspires students with success stories of individuals from similar backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of setting career goals and working diligently to achieve them.
Impact and Past Initiatives
Since its inception, the programme has impacted 18 basic and senior high schools, including Gentiga Primary & JHS, Kpalewega JHS, Manga JHS, Zabugu JHS, and Binduri SHS.
Other schools such as Bawku Secondary Technical SHS, Kusanaba SHS and JHS, and Buabula JHS have also benefited.
To date, over 8,000 students have received support through the initiative, and the foundation has awarded scholarships to five brilliant but needy students to further their education.
Leadership and Collaboration
Poanab Hajia Zenabu Awinbe Salifu, the Founder and Executive Director of SBF, continues to lead the foundation’s efforts to empower young minds in the region.
This initiative remains a beacon of hope for students aspiring to build a better future despite socioeconomic challenges.
