Irish boxer Jono Carroll has posted a new picture with mob boss Daniel Kinahan.

The picture shows a beaming and balding Kinahan next to Carroll – who posted it to his Instagram stories amid an ongoing spat with UFC star Conor McGregor.

The pic is believed to be the first new image of the mobster – ever since he vanished in April 2022 when crippling sanctions were announced against him, and the leaders of the cartel.

However it is similar to a previously posted pic of the pair at a boxing bout in the same year.

Carroll posted this new photo calling Kinahan his “brother from another mother” adding “not too many real ones left is right.”

Carroll previously made headlines back in 2022 when he came out in support of Kinahan after the US government announced a $5 million reward for information on catching the cartel boss.

He said: “Mother f**kers can say what yous (sic) want, this man gave me opportunity’s (sic) in this sport and without him I would of (sic) walked away a long time ago, I stand by everything I said here, I’ll always be thankful for his help and guidance in this sport.”

“Without this man, I wouldn’t be still in this boxing game, he’s a true legend of the sport. He should be celebrated from the boxing world, without him half of these big fights would never of (sic) happened #facts #real #talk,” he said at the time.

It comes amid an ongoing row Carroll is having with Conor McGregor on social media – saying the MMA fighter ”should be ashamed of himself” after he called his fellow Dubliner “a carpet licker”.

Carroll, who had previously announced his conversion to Islam on Instagram, slammed McGregor for “disrespecting” his religion after the slur was posted on Carroll’s Instagram page.

“Imagine someone you looked up to as a kid like @thenotoriousmma calling you a carpet licker because I put my head to the ground every day speaking to God,” Carroll wrote.

“Never mind disrespecting Islam, this fella should be ashamed of himself.Islam has made me a better man all around. I just hope he finds peace like I have. (Someday) inshallah, the thing is I already forgive you and pray for you and your family mate.

“Inshallah, you find your way someday.”
