Julius Quashigah has 28 years of industry experience
Shippers and freight forwarders in Ghana are advocating for Julius Quashigah, the CEO of Three Port Services, to be appointed as the next Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
They are urging President John Dramani Mahama to consider him for the role, citing his extensive experience in the maritime sector.
Quashigah has 28 years of industry experience, primarily as a freight forwarder and clearing agent.
He holds two Master’s degrees—one in Defence and International Politics and another in Ports and Shipping Administration—as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science.
His strong educational background, combined with his professional expertise, makes him a compelling candidate for GPHA leadership.
Supporters argue that Quashigah’s leadership at Three Port Services has played a key role in the growth of various maritime organizations. They believe his appointment could drive greater operational efficiency within Ghana’s ports.
Despite the strong backing, it remains to be seen whether Quashigah will be nominated or if other candidates will emerge in the competitive race for maritime leadership.
