Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax are set to sign Ghana international right-full back Tariq Lamptey from English Premier League side Brighton, according to a report from the English media.
The 24-year-old former Chelsea youth star, whose current deal with the American Express Stadium outfit is set to expire in June 2025, is set to be moved on this January – with Everton, Wolves, West Ham, Fulham and Sporting Lisbon all being credited with his move this term.
English tabloid Daily Mail has reported that the Dutch side are confident of landing the pacey defender with a transfer fee of £1.5million given his contract situation going forward.
Lamptey has so far netted 3 goals and assisted 2 in 12 games across all competitions for Brighton in this ongoing Premier League 2024-25 campaign.
The English-born diminutive stopper currently boasts of 8 caps for Ghana Men’s Senior National Team, the Black Stars since switching nationality allegiance to represent the four-time African Champions in 2022.
