Ada Member of Parliament (MP) Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe has rendered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians on behalf of the Minority Caucus.

This comes after tensions erupted during an Appointments Committee session over the vetting of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on Thursday.

The chaos arose when the Minority proposed that the vetting be postponed to Friday, citing concerns over the day’s proceedings.

However, the Majority opposed the suggestion, insisting that the process continue as scheduled.

The disagreement escalated into chaos, with Minority members disrupting the session by breaking tables and microphones in protest against any delay.

Speaking on Adom FM’s , the First Deputy Majority Chief Whip expressed regret over the incident, saying the Minority’s action was uncalled for and must be condemned in no uncertain terms.

“I will apologize to Ghanaians on behalf of the Minority because they are complicit. They destroyed a lot of items,” she stated.

The lawmaker advised the Minority to tread cautiously, adding that their actions may suffer severe consequences in the next election.

“If they continue this way, their 88 number will reduce to 44 in the next election because Ghanaians are watching them. If you can’t do government business, you don’t have to destroy properties. They could have just walked out instead of the destruction because it is taxpayers’ money,” she added.
