The vetting process for President John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial nominees has resumed, with Samuel Nartey George, the Minister-designate for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation, appearing before the Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
During the vetting, he will be assessed based on his expertise, experience, and vision for the sector to determine his suitability for the role.
If approved, he will be responsible for shaping Ghana’s digital transformation agenda, overseeing policies related to communication and emerging technologies, and driving innovation to enhance national development.
Samuel Nartey George is a prominent Ghanaian politician and a member of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, representing the Ningo-Prampram constituency.
He has been an outspoken advocate for digital inclusion, technology-driven economic growth, and improved telecommunications infrastructure in Ghana.
His nomination signals the government’s commitment to advancing the country’s digital economy and fostering technological innovation.
