Twene Jonas, the Ghanaian social commentator based in the United States, has finally responded to calls from many Ghanaians calling for him to be deported from the U.S.
The recent anti-immigrant deportation operation started by the United States Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has led to many Ghanaians who are in the U.S. illegally feeling uncomfortable and scared.
Twene Jonas, who has been in the U.S. for several years now, is one of the most notable people that Ghanaians are targeting for deportation. His immigration status is unclear but many people believe he is in the U.S. illegally and therefore have called for Donald Trump to deport him.
Since the crackdown began, Jonas has also been recording videos at a lower frequency than usual, leading to claims that he’s hiding.
Jonas has now come out to record a video attacking his critics and to show that he’s not hiding. In the video, he slammed all those calling for his deportation and said he would call on the gods to strike them down.
