Solomon Twum Barima is the new MD of SIC Life
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed engineer, chartered insurer, and lawyer, Solomon Twum Barima, as Managing Director of SIC Life Insurance Company.
He comes into office with rich professional experience with over 22 years of impactful contributions across manufacturing, insurance, law, risk management, and finance.
Currently the Chief Operations Officer of GLICO General Insurance Ltd, he combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive organizational success.
As a chartered insurer, professional engineer, risk management expert, lawyer, and certified loss adjuster, Twum Barima adopts a multidisciplinary approach to solving complex challenges.
His career began in the manufacturing sector as an assistant production manager, before transitioning into insurance as a risk engineer at SIC Insurance.
He later served as Head of Claims and Risk Management at Imperial General Assurance, solidifying his reputation as a leader in Ghana’s insurance industry.
Twum Barima is an expert in risk assessment, underwriting, loss adjusting, and claims management.
His technical acumen and deep understanding of financial engineering have enabled him to facilitate major transactions in sectors such as construction, gold trading, oil and gas, and commodities trading.
