President John Dramani Mahama has terminated the appointment of Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh as the Director-General of the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In a letter, signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh has been directed to hand over his responsibilities to Dr. James Klutse Avedzi, who has been appointed as Acting Director-General of the SEC.
The letter did not clearly state the reason for the termination of the appointment, however.
SEC is the body that is expected to maintain stability in Ghana’s capital markets.
