Liverpool played Real Madrid off the park at Anfield as they secured a 2-0 win against the reining UEFA Champions League holders.

Second-half goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo gave Arne Slot’s side a statement victory as they made it five wins from five in Europe.

While the first half ended goalless, the game really sprang to life after the interval as the Reds scored two goals to put Carlo Ancelotti’s side to the sword.

There were also two missed penalties in the second half as Kylian Mbappe and Mohamed Salah missed from the spot.

Several Liverpool players were absolutely magnificent on the day, but both Jamie Carragher and Daniel Sturridge agree on who was the Reds’ best player vs Real Madrid at Anfield.

Liverpool fans praised Bradley for his fantastic performance at Anfield as he was substituted in the closing stages of the game for Joe Gomez.

After the game, both Carragher and Sturridge took to X to deliver their verdict on his performance.

Sturridge wrote: “Bradley MOTM tonight,” while Carragher’s reaction can be seen below.

Steve McManaman also praised Bradley for his performance against Real Madrid as he enjoyed one of the best nights of his career against a world-class attacker like Mbappe.

His underlying numbers from the game are as follows:

That said, he went down with a suspected hamstring injury, which led to his eventual substitution in the closing stages of the game.

Well played and speedy recovery, Conor!
