Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr is reported to have died in the early hours of Thursday
Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr, a son of the former Minister of Defence, Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor, is reportedly dead.
The unfortunate news of the demise of Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr was made public by veteran Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah.
In a Facebook post, Freddyma, as he is known in entertainment circles, disclosed that he was saddened by the death of his classmate from Prempeh College.
Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr is a former President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and also served as the President of the ECOWAS Federation of Chambers of Mines.
He also served as the Chamber’s representative on the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources Advisory Council and the Private Enterprises Federation Council of Ghana.
Addo Kufuor Jr held top positions at Newmont Africa and AngloGold Ashanti, where he became Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Head of Finance of AngloGold Ashanti West Africa Operations.
Addo-Kufuor was also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana.
There is yet to be any official confirmation of this news, although GhanaWeb has been making efforts to contact the family.
