Ghanaian musician cum University of Ghana SRC president, Maradona Yeboah Adjei, popularly known as Guru, has disclosed his aspirations of working with the United Nations.
In an interview making rounds online on November 26, 2024, the rapper expressed his desire to make a difference beyond his music career.
He explained that his dream is to contribute to global humanitarian efforts.
“After school, my dream is to work at the United Nations. What inspires me right now is the service side of life. Apart from music, I want to work as a humanitarian so I can have a positive impact on the world, not just Ghana,” Guru stated.
He also mentioned that the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, late Kofi Annan, is his role model.
“Kofi Annan is the person I look up to, and I’ve always hoped that one day I will work with the UN. The plan isn’t to become a politician. Well, I’ve dreamed of becoming the president of Ghana one day, but I’m not sure how things will unfold,” he stated.
After years of entertaining Ghanaians with back-to-back hits, Guru returned to school to further his education at the University of Ghana. He was later elected as the Student Representative Council (SRC) President.
Guru was sworn into office on October 28, 2024, following a landslide victory in the SRC elections.
