Uproar as Ghana Football Association Presents ‘Second-Hand’ Buses to Clubs

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is facing severe backlash after videos surfaced online showing the poor condition of buses distributed to selected football clubs. The videos, which reveal a deteriorated interior of one of the buses, have sparked widespread criticism from football stakeholders and fans alike.
Charles Ntim, the former President of Techiman City FC, took to Facebook to lambast the GFA, sharing images and videos of the substandard bus presented to New Edubiase United. He expressed disappointment over the quality of the buses, questioning the association’s commitment to supporting local clubs.
Nine clubs, including Young Apostles, Okwahu United, New Edubiase United, Basake Holy Stars, and Vision FC, were beneficiaries of the first phase of the bus distribution initiative. However, the revelation of the poor state of the buses has overshadowed the gesture, with many describing it as an insult to the clubs.
The development has led to an uproar on social media, with football fans and analysts voicing their displeasure. Many have called on the GFA to take immediate steps to address the situation and ensure better treatment for local clubs.
