Following recent disclosures regarding the Late Atta Mills, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, commonly known as NAPO, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) vice presidential candidate, issued a daring message to John Mahama. In an address to the chiefs and residents of Ekumfi, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh said that John Evans Atta Mills was responsible for the NDC’s recent election triumph. He did, however, add that John Mahama and the NDC had not given Atta Mills the respect he deserves since his passing.
According to Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, John Mahama has asserted ownership of each and every project that Atta Mills initiated. According to him, Atta Mills actually initiated and finished many of the projects that John Mahama claimed were part of his accomplishments. Atta Mills was also honored by Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is presently running for office in the Central area. To honor the late president, he constructed a library.
The CEO of the Atta Mills Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, was in charge of the library project. Dr. Prempeh once again commended the late president as a wonderful leader and a man of integrity while speaking at the ceremony. In addition to calling Atta Mills a gift from God to Ghana, he stated that he thought the late president belonged to the “wrong political party.”
“Koku Anyidoho’s efforts to preserve the late president’s legacy inspired me,” Dr. Prempeh added. He further said that the late president’s services had not been adequately acknowledged by his own party, criticizing the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama, for taking credit for all of Atta Mills’ accomplishments. Dr. Prempeh was thanked by Samuel Koku Anyidoho for his support in the celebration of President Atta Mills’ legacy. He also urged the departed president’s relatives to demonstrate their efforts to pay tribute to him.
