Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has accused the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led government of mismanaging the economy.

He asserted that the local economy has been classified among the worst-performing in the world.

In a Facebook post sighted by GhanaWeb Business, John Dramani Mahama said, “The Akufo-Addo and Bawumia government has allowed our economy to be classified among the worst-performing in the world. Together, we must RESET Ghana. Vote for change on December 7.”

His comment comes after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during the commissioning of The Bank Square in Accra on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, announced that the economy was on the path to recovery.

President Akufo-Addo said the GDP growth in the second quarter of 2024 is pegged at 6.9 percent.

He mentioned that non-oil growth, on the other hand, is now pegged around 7.0 percent.

This, he said, shows growth in the agriculture, industry, and services sectors.
