Man battles chronic epilepsy after ex-lover curses him

A 35-year-old man is battling chronic epilepsy after his ex-lover invoked curses on him for abandoning her while she carried his baby.

Samuel Yaw Tetteh, who hails from Somanya but resides in Tema in the Greater Accra region, has since the incidence suffered regular seizures.

He has not been able to treat the ailment, as he says both medical and spiritual treatment have failed to bring him relief.

Mr. Tetteh recounted his ordeal on Ewiase Mu Nsem Programme hosted by Munukumba Appiah Kubi, as he sought after a solution to his predicament.

“Since 2018, I have been suffering from an attack, which I didn’t understand. It started from night paralysis and later became so severe. Anytime I sleep or became exhausted, I come under this attack for 3 – 4 days, during which I do not eat, bathe, brush, or do anything meaningful like a normal human being,” he said.

When the situation seemed unbearable, he sought answers from a fetish priest who revealed he had been cursed by a woman.

“I reflected on it and realised Mary, my ex-lover, was the cause. I then proceeded to seek forgiveness and embarked on the rites demanded for me to be freed as the fetish priest directed. Although I have done all the needful and incurred debts, the situation is the same as I still suffer from the convulsions. I need your help to be whole again,” he narrated.

His ex-lover, Mary, who is from Asante Mampong, explained that the pain of going through the pregnancy all by herself without the man who impregnated her caused the invocation of curses on Mr. Tetteh.

“I had become pregnant without realising it until the 5th month. I was hospitalized and operated on. I lost the pregnancy and went through many health implications, but Yaw did not bother to mind me; even when I called, his phone was off, he couldn’t be reached, or he would not answer. Going through this ordeal alone with no financial support nor emotional assistance, I cursed him one night with our local deity, river god, forest, and spirits,” she said.

After being piteous over the situation, Mary who was initially reluctant agreed to help Mr. Tetteh reverse the curses but nothing seemed to work.

“I did whatever I could to help him. The priest took us through the reversal ritual and made him compensate me. That’s all I know, so if he is still suffering today, I can’t tell why”, said Mary, the ex-girlfriend.

Poised on solving Yaw Tetteh’s problem, the host called on a spiritualist who explained that the curse might not have been reversed.

He says the ex-lover called on several cosmic authorities who were to be appeased one after the other before the victim could be set free.

Mary, who is now pregnant with another man, was instructed to help with the redeeming process as Munukumba and his team were spirited to see the lanky man whole again.
