New Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has revealed that his primary goal at the club will be to establish a clear identity for the team. Speaking in his first official interview since taking over, Amorim emphasized that creating a distinctive style of play will be central to his approach.
Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag after the Dutch coach’s dismissal following a disappointing start to the season, explained that his focus would be on shaping the team’s approach to the game, from pressing tactics to overall strategy.
“The most important thing for me is identity. So since day one, we will start with our identity, from the first game,” said Amorim. “How to play, how to press, these small things, small details. So if I have to say one thing, my main goal, my first goal, is identity.”
Ahead of his first competitive match against Ipswich Town, Amorim also highlighted Mason Mount as a player who will play a key role under his management at Manchester United.
