Prez. Kuffuor Faces Heavy Backlash For Pleading To Citizens To Give Presidential Candidate A Chance

The countdown for the upcoming 2024 general elections scheduled for 7th December currently stands at 22 days. These few days left have compelled political parties and independent candidates to intensify their campaigns and interactions so as to increase their chances of winning the elections. The two favorites to win the election per reports are the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). However, the other parties have also demonstrated resilience and are confident to make a change in the political history of the nation this time.
Former president John Agyekum Kuffuor has been in the headline on social media for a submission he made in an interview. Dr. Kuffuor who served under the ticket of the NPP from 2000 to 2008 is regarded as one of Ghana’s impactful leaders for his implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme. In a post sighted on the official twitter page of Asempa FM is a plea from the former president to Ghanaians. When quizzed on matters relating to the upcoming elections, he pleaded to Ghanaians to give Dr. Bawumia a chance for he thinks the flag-bearer is the ideal candidate to make Ghana a better place.
