A Ghanaian football fan has lamented the abysmal performances of the Black Stars in recent times, especially in the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

She explained that as a staunch supporter of the team, she has been following and watching their games every time, hoping they would make her happy with positive results.

However, the disappointing results have led to her blood pressure (BP) surging and impacted her health negatively.

Speaking on the Sports Debate show aired on GhanaWeb TV, the woman stated that she has stopped watching Black Stars games to prevent further heartbreaks and is not hopeful about the team’s chances of making it to the 2025 AFCON.

“They [Black Stars] will not go far. It’s all about disappointment. Anytime you stay on the television watching them and hoping they will do something better, at the end of the day, you have BP, or maybe your BP will go high.

“You understand me? I don’t think so [the team qualifying for the AFCON] because I don’t have hope in them anymore,” the woman told GhanaWeb Sports.

The Black Stars aim to win against Niger and Angola and hope Sudan lose their remaining matches to secure qualification to the 2025 AFCON.

After four matches, Ghana are third in Group F with two points. Sudan are in second place with seven points, while Angola lead with twelve points.

Ghana will play Angola on November 15, 2024, and return to host Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, 2024.
