The General Overseer of the Holy Ghost Fire Hour Ministry International in Klagon, Tema, Prophetess Susuana Boakye Danquah, has sent a strong caution to young girls, urging them to shun prostitution and indecent behaviours that she believes can lead to devastating consequences.
Speaking during her monthly meeting with the youth wing of the church, the Prophetess emphasised the dangers young girls face when they engage in such activities, citing moral decay and the long-term effects these choices can have on their lives.
Temporary gains
According to her, prostitution and other immoral behaviours offer temporary gains but ultimately lead to perpetual grief and regret.
“Many young girls are being lured into lifestyles that are against God’s will and are equally harmful to their future. The glamour that may seem attached to these behaviours is fleeting, and the negative repercussions are grave. You tarnish your dignity and take away the peace and joy that a righteous life promises,” she stated.
She noted that while society, especially modern trends on social media, often glorifies such lifestyles, the truth is far more painful for those who get entangled in them.
Emotional scars
“The pursuit of fast money through prostitution or other indecent means does jeopardise your physical health and leads to deep emotional scars. These choices have led many young women into states of depression, disease, and social exclusion. Don’t be a victim,” she warned.
Susuana Boakye stressed the importance of self-respect and integrity, urging young women to look toward a future built on hard work, faith, and morality.
She encouraged parents and guardians to actively engage with their children to instill good values, warning that neglecting this responsibility could allow their children to fall prey to negative influences. Monitoring
“I believe the onus lies on parents and guardians to monitor their children, especially the girl child. Besides, the craze for money can lead these girls into engaging in all manner of activities. However, with proper monitoring mechanisms, this immortality could be averted,” she observed.
The General Overseer further called on churches, schools, and communities to unite in tackling these challenges by creating supportive environments that encourage young women to make positive decisions about their futures.
She reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to offering guidance, mentorship, and prayers for those seeking to break free from immoral lifestyles.
“The time to change is now. Every young girl who finds herself in prostitution and any other indecent behaviour has the power to rewrite their story, and the church is here to support them every step of the way,” she added.
