WWE icon Hulk Hogan was dubbed a ‘joke’ by disappointed fans as he struggled to rip his shirt open during Donald Trump’s rally in New York.

The Hulkster is a big supporter of former US President Trump, who is seeking a second term in office against Democrat Kamala Harris. But during an appearance at Trump’s latest rally at Madison Square Garden, Hogan made a scene as he struggled to recreate one of his trademark moves.

Instead of ripping open his iconic red and yellow shirt, the 71-year-old Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, struggled with the clothing and spent nearly 20 seconds wrestling with his top.

As his WWE theme music Real American played over the top, Hogan eventually managed to rip his top open before recreating some of Trump’s dance moves on stage.

Fans and critics of Hogan alike were quick to mock the former wrestling icon, calling him a ‘joke’.

The Public Enemies Wresting Podcast wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Bro was fighting for his life to rip that shirt. I sincerely feel bad for anyone who grew up with Hulk Hogan as their GOAT.”

A fan added: “This is a joke” while others said it was “sad” seeing Hogan unable to recreate his famous moves.

During the rally, Hogan endorsed Trump and took aim at Kamala Harris. When he asked the room “whatcha gonna do?”, echoing one of his famous catchphrases, he answered with “vote for Trump”.

Hogan later posted a photo with Trump, as the pair took part in an arm wrestle. He wrote: “Donald J Trump says there’s no substitute for victory” as fans of the Republican Presidential candidate praised the pair.
