Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), has voiced strong optimism about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) chances in the upcoming general elections as reported by Ghana Web on Sunday 27, 2024.

In a post shared on October 26, Ofosu Nkansah expressed confidence in the party’s ability to secure victory, urging members to disregard the pessimism voiced by certain party members.

Ofosu Nkansah specifically addressed concerns within the NPP, where some Members of Parliament (MPs) and parliamentary candidates have been skeptical about the party’s electoral prospects.

While acknowledging the challenges, he criticized those with a defeatist attitude, stating that their negativity risks undermining the morale of supporters and campaign teams.

“You are MP/PC and you are telling people we will not win the election. No wonder you are not showing any seriousness in campaigning,” he stated. “You do this and blame others for your issues.”

The NEIP CEO emphasized that the NPP has a proven track record and a clear vision that positions it strongly in the eyes of Ghanaians.

He highlighted the government’s achievements, particularly in entrepreneurship and job creation, as a testament to the NPP’s dedication to economic empowerment.

Ofosu Nkansah pointed to NEIP’s contributions in fostering innovation, which he believes have strengthened Ghana’s economy and created valuable opportunities for citizens.

In his view, these accomplishments are crucial in gaining public trust and demonstrating the party’s capability to lead effectively.

He further urged all NPP members to unite behind the party’s mission, stating that a cohesive and optimistic front is essential for a successful campaign.

“By the way, we are winning this election to shame people like you. Meanwhile, when we win, such people will go lobbying for positions,” he remarked, making clear his stance on those he sees as detractors within the party.
