Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP), has asked the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be humble so his party can lend them a running mate.
Honourable Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh is the running mate to Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling NPP for the upcoming presidential elections. The NPP is hopeful that the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia-Opoku Prempeh ticket will win the polls.
But according to Okudzeto Ablakwa, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has been disastrous in his campaign activities so far. He made the pronouncement at the Asawase campaign rally which was held during the weekend.
He described the NPP vice presidential candidate as an international and monumental disaster who has not been able to impress the majority of Ghanaians in his campaign activities.
“The NPP should humble themselves so we can lend them a running mate, what they have now is a disaster, a national disaster, a monumental disaster”, Okudzeto Ablakwa said in a video shared by Accra-based Citi FM on its verified Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the outspoken NDC legislator refutes claims by Matthew Opoku Prempeh that Comprehensive Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) was initiated by the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration.
Ablakwa urged Ghanaians to disregard the speculations and treat them with the contempt they deserve.
He explained that the Comprehensive Sexuality Education which was condemned by many Ghanaians was masterminded by the current administration under the tenure of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the Education Minister of the country.
