Liverpool rescued a point against Arsenal this evening as Mohamed Salah produced when it mattered to secure a valuable point for the Reds.

Salah struck when Darwin Nunez played him in after a fine pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold had put Liverpool in behind.

The result was arguably better for Liverpool than it was for Arsenal, who now find themselves some five points behind Man City at the top of the table.

Of course, Liverpool got their goal by simply staying in the game and relying on their excellent forward players to get them back in it.

That means, as usual, that the brilliant Mo Salah was the man to do the business and according to Alan Shearer, it proved yet again why Salah hardly ever comes off.

Alan Shearer lauds Mohamed Salah after Liverpool v Arsenal

Speaking about the Liverpool forward’s impact for Premier League Productions, Shearer lauded Salah and suggested it’s why you never take him off.

“Mohamed Salah didn’t touch the ball a lot, he wasn’t as involved as he would like or want to be. But whilst he’s on the pitch, you’re always going to have that opportunity. Why would you take your best goal scorer off?,” Shearer said.

“His movement is just incredible. It was a great ball, and it was crying out to be put into the back of the net.”

Salah is irreplaceable for Liverpool

There are certain players at different clubs who simply cannot be replace and Mo Salah is going to be that guy at Liverpool when he eventually moves on.

Once again today, Salah has come up trumps for the Reds when it mattered and he just proves time and again he is a world-class operator.

Salah’s finish was that of a player who just knows how to find the net when the time comes and as Shearer says here, he always brings a threat.

If Liverpool are going to win anything this season, then Salah is going to be the main man. Again.
