Liverpool have some big contract situations coming to a head in the coming months.

Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are out of contract next summer, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is also in the same boat.

Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked to Real Madrid as of late, and there’s some fear on Merseyside that the full-back could be on his way out of Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold is an ‘incredible’ player, so Liverpool will be desperate to keep him.

Speaking on the Optus Sport Football Podcast, Michael Bridges has been discussing Alexander-Arnold’s situation, and he says that he’s now convinced that the full-back will leave Liverpool after seeing his body language recently.

Trent Alexander-Arnold tipped to leave Liverpool

Bridges shared his verdict on what will happen with Alexander-Arnold.

The pundit claimed that the defender will leave Anfield, stating that he looks like his time is done due to his body language in recent games.

“I agree with you. I think he’s even just seen his body language once again when he came off the field the other day. He celebrates the goals, no doubt about it,” Bridges said.

“He’s a class act, but he just looks a little bit. He looks like his time is done. And I think he’s got his sights set on a move away.”

How is Alexander-Arnold feeling at Liverpool?

Bridges does make an interesting point about Alexander-Arnold’s body language, but that is just one pundit’s opinion on an intangible.

We don’t truly know what is happening with Alexander-Arnold at the moment, but according to Fabrizio Romano, Alexander-Arnold’s priority is to stay at Liverpool and win trophies.

“Trent’s priority is Liverpool and he says he wants to win trophies. He keeps mentioning being very happy with Arne Slot and his contract negotiations being silent and not in the media, that was the message from Trent,” Romano said.

Alexander-Arnold will happily stay at Anfield if the Reds can prove that they’re ready to challenge for top honours under Arne Slot.

So far this season, Liverpool have been almost faultless, and if they can keep that up, they may well be able to keep hold of their star players.

Bridges believes Alexander-Arnold’s mind is made up, but this story still has a long way to run.
