Liverpool registered a hard-fought win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday night to continue their perfect record in Europe so far under Arne Slot.
Liverpool beat RB Leipzig 1-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. Darwin Nunez’s first-half tap-in secured a hard-fought win to maintain Liverpool’s 100 per cent record in Europe this season.
The Reds have also beaten AC Milan and Bologna in Europe’s elite competition this term, conceding just a single goal. Liverpool’s attentions will now turn to Sunday’s huge Premier League showdown away at Arsenal (4.30pm).
With a win, Arne Slot’s team could go seven points clear of the Gunners and open up a significant gap – even at such an early stage of the season. It has been an excellent start to life under Slot, with September’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest the only blemish so far.
