Chelsea snapped up Fabio Paim on loan from Sporting in the summer of 2008 after he had impressed in Portugal. But the former winger lasted just four months at Stamford Bridge before returning to his homeland and embarking on a journeyman career that saw him play for a whole host of clubs.
Paim came through the ranks at Sporting alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner once hinting his compatriot was a better player than he was.
The 36-year-old failed to live up to expectations on the pitch and called it quits at the start of 2021. But he appears to be living up to expectations in his new career as an adult film star and has even been described as a “lion” for his steamy displays on camera.
Paim recently featured in his first pornographic film. And he has already become a firm favourite with his co-star Diana Melancia, who exclaimed: “We thought he was going to be nervous and it wouldn’t work out – but Fabio turned out to be a lion.
“He was good at football and he is good at porn. He’s going to be a success. I hope this film is the first of many with Paim.”
Paim has also broken his silence on his new career in the porn industry as he added: “It’s difficult being in front of the cameras – but I did it and I think I have got talent for this.
“I got a lot of pleasure and made two dreams come true, making the film and being with two spectacular women.”
Paim represented Portugal at youth level and was tipped to have a big future in the sport. But he never made a first-team appearance for Chelsea under Luiz Felipe Scolari as he was restricted to reserve team outings.
He went on to have underwhelming spells playing in countries such as Qatar, Malta and Lithuania, before hanging up his boots following a stint with Starowice Dolne in Poland.
The former star was put in prison for a year following his retirement on drugs trafficking charges, but now appears to be focused on his new career in front of the camera.
Ahead of his acting debut, Paim was interviewed alongside his new co-star on Tiago Paiva’s YouTube channel. And he explained: “I would like to act in a porn film.
“I’m serious, it would make my dreams come true. I don’t have a girlfriend, I’m single.”
