Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change walk in Kumasi flops

The much-anticipated campaign walk organized by the Movement for Change, led by Mr. Alan Kyerematen, a failed presidential aspirant for the NPP, failed to glitter after rented crowd left him and his small number of executives in the cold.

As late as 10 am when the walk was supposed to reach its peak, only a handful of participants had arrived at the scene, bringing sullen and morose on the faces of the organizers.

Even more disturbing was the fact that the former Trade and Industry Minister was betrayed by the biggest opposition party, NDC, whom reports said had planned to mobilize crowd for him.

Reports had initially flooded social media about sponsorship from some leading members of the NDC who could not keep to their promise.

When newsmen arrived at the starting point to cover the walk, few of the rented fans that had gathered were complaining about the poor arrangement, accusing the organisers of failing to plan well.

Some also questioned the rationale for bringing such a walk to Kumasi which is notoriously known for their uncompromising loyalty for the ruling New Patriotic Party.

They appointed accusing fingers at the Director of Operations of the MFC, Mr. Hopeson Adorye for creating the mess.
