A Ghanaian lawyer who creates social media content, The Law Gh, has revealed that Salifu Amoako’s son Elrad, who caused an accident that led to the deaths of two people, is unlikely to be jailed.
According to him, the law in Ghana does not allow for juveniles to be jailed irrespective of their offence.
He said the worst that can happen to Salifu Amoako’s would be him being sent to juvenile detention.
However, even with that, he cannot be kept there for more than six months. In case of serious crimes such as murder, he can be held for three years but the lawyer said he does not believe murder applies in this circumstance.
