Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara says their first away win of the season didn’t come easily and are looking forward to working extra harder going forward.

The ‘Phobians’ exhibited a stupendous performance to defeat the Yellow-Blues by 1-2 at the Nana Abrefa Nketiah VII Park over the weekend in GPL match-week 6.

With all goals produced in the second half, Emmanuel Amankwah opened the scoring on the 50th minute but his lead was subsequently cancelled out thanks to a spectacular bicycle kick goal from Samuel Prempeh before Hamza Issah scored few moments later to restore the lead.

The ‘Phobians’ have now jumped up to the eighth position on the league log with eight points; having won two, lost twice with two draws in their opening six matches.

Reacting to the win, the Ivorian gaffer described the game as a tough one despite the win and added they ain’t jubiliating much as they will now shift their attention to the subsequent games.

“Today’s match is a very tough match. I know it can be difficult for us. Young Apostles have a very good side. We tried to maintain them and we got the 3 points. I think it’s our second win. We can’t jubilate too much. We will continue to work hard and see what will happen for us this season. It’s not easy but we are going to do our best,” Coach Aboubakar Ouattara said.

Hearts of Oak will travel to Dreams FC in the next round of matches.
